What are the materials that can be used for gravity casting?
I believe everyone will not feel unfamiliar with the casting method of gravity casting. Here are some materials applicable to gravity casting.
1. Although the casting method of gravity casting can be adopted for alloy materials, after the casting is completed, some post-heat treatment processes are needed to improve the mechanical properties of castings, for example, its tensile strength and hardness. It should be noted that alloys with different compositions have different requirements on casting performance, so the processing methods are also different.
2. When AC2A aluminum alloy material adopts the casting method of metal gravity casting, the specific operation of pouring process is: when the alloy material is melted and heated, and the temperature reaches 730 to 750 degrees Celsius, use GBF to rotate degassing to vent gas to remove hydrogen slag for 15-20 minutes. Then, leave for 15 minutes to check whether the composition, slag content, hydrogen content, etc. are qualified.
3. ZA27 material is a high aluminum zinc-based alloy with an aluminum content of about 27%, which is suitable for gravity casting. Moreover, it has good strength and toughness, low specific gravity and wide application range.
